Aizoaceae – Mittagsblumengewächse
The midday flowers are one of the most species- and form-rich families in the dry regions of southern Africa. The collection forms the basis for research into the relationships within the midday flowers. In a further research focus, their site ecology and the morphological-anatomical and physiological adaptations to the harsh environmental conditions to which the plants are exposed at their respective sites are investigated.
