Since the Hamburg Meteorite Collection was founded with the "Siderophyr von Steinbach" in 1863, it has succeeded through acquisitions and expeditions to the Antarctic, Mongolia and the Sahara to expand this collection to an extensive and significant meteorite collection with over 900 extraterrestrial finds.
